·     Deliver Responsibilities of the Guangzhou Mammalian Facility including specifying, sourcing, installing and qualifying Automation and Controls equipment for the Cell Bank Construction and Cell Line Development labs as well as specifying, sourcing, installing and qualifying ERP/MES/LIMS systems for the site and DCS system for the Pilot Plant 

·     Performs all work safely and meets the requisite training requirements 

 ·     Building the Automation and Controls department at the new site 

 ·     Develop technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and process automation systems 

 ·     Responsible for resolution of all equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites 

 ·     Provide SME support to Manufacturing and other departments for the design and operation of process automation equipment 

 ·     Conduct troubleshooting and technical analyses on manufacturing equipment and process automation systems including PI data analyses, code review/troubleshooting, etc. 

 ·     Act as Controls engineering lead for tech transfer of new processes into the facilities 

 ·     Participates in meetings and customer ad hoc meetings as Controls/Engineering SME 

 ·     Support production and project teams in all questions of Automation and Controls 

 ·     Secures professional and economic execution of all activities and high availability of the manufacturing units and equipment. 

 ·     Responsible for control and compliance of annual Automation budget 

 ·     Implementation of improvement ideas (Innovation) for processes, plants and procedures (excellence) 

 ·     Review/Revise/Create Automation and Manufacturing related SOP’s Functional Specs, work instructions, equipment and process changes etc.

Skills

BS/MS from Technical university or University for applied sciences related degrees. 

Preferred area of study: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Automation 

8 -15 years of experience in the area engineering / Automation and Controls preferable in the biopharma area. 

Working in CAPEX projects

Certified Automation Professionals® (CAP®) preferred 

Automation and Control Systems, GMP, Instrumentation Skills Strong leadership skills; very good communication skills and interaction with all kinds of interfaces within the organization; strong team orientation Qualities & Attitude Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude; open-minded for new ideas and suggestions; agile, highly motivated and dynamic drive; solution-oriented

English: Fully Proficient; Chinese Mandarin: would be a plus
